With the gradual improvement of the university network construction and its continuousupgrade and expand, many aspects in university, including teachers and students’ life, research and teaching and study, rely more and more on network. The application ofbandwidth control technology on campus network also makes network management levelfurther improved. Due to the continuous development of the campus network systemapplications, a network environment with the combination of application and communicationhas been gradually formed, among which streaming media and online video technologyprovide a better space for the development of network-assisted teaching and entertainment. In this paper, the construction proposal of the campus’ network video broadcast systemis studied based on the university network platform. It also analyses and discusses severaldifferent application layer multicast models according to the characteristics of the universitynetwork, complexity, reliability and fault tolerance. Besides, it puts forward the multicastconstruction proposal of the campus network video broadcast system. This proposal makesthe application of steaming media as the core and adopts different application layer multicastmodels, so as to build a video broadcast system for large-scale campus users. This paper first introduces streaming media and P2P technology, analyses transmissionway and agreement of campus network streaming media, and discusses the networkconstruction and technology application of P2P, followed by the detailed systematic demand, which confirms the aims of system design. According to the research of the system-relatedtechnologies, the overall design proposal of the campus network video broadcast system isput forward and the data block, the data buffer and QOS control strategy design method aredescribed in detail. Finally, this paper discusses the multicast construction proposal of thecampus network video broadcast system, analyses some key system technological problemslike data scheduling algorithm, and presents detailed solutions, thus effectively improves theuse frequency of the resources of the nodes in the network.
