China has been a main importer of energy sources presently. Along with the rapid development of national economy, demands of elemental energy sources such as petroleum and electricity grow sharply. Since western regions and southeastern marginal sea of our country are abundant in natural gas resources, and furthermore, a great volume of combustible gas is produced annually due to the development of iron and steel making, coal excavating, coking, vintage and breeding industry, vast market space was available for extending the application of gas generator sets with combustible gas as power.At present, the automation level of homemade gas generator sets is inferior. Because the measuring and control instruments are mostly based on analog technology, which is bad in precision, inconvenience in debug and adjust, and impossibility in realization of synthetical and optimized regulation of power, electrical parameters and contamination emission guide line, so the demand of designing highly intelligent automatic measuring and control system for gas generator becomes an urgence.The major task of this project is to research and design a new-type automatic mearsuring and control system for 200~700kw gas generator set produced by Qidong Baoju Power Machine Corporation who is also the constituent of the project.The design work of overall scheme, function division, fieldbus protocol drafting, main platform building based on high-powered ARM9 embedded MPU,signal measuring modules with 40 analog signal channels and 21 digital signal channels for the new-type gas generator set have been completed during the procedure of my thesis work. The whole system has passed online debugging and verification procedure in lab up to the present.
