With the reinforcement of our country's overall national strength and the fast course of the troop's mechanization and informatization construction, the importance of vehicles in military modernization is increasing. So how to manage vehicles and drivers dynamically and efficiently can't be ignored. The research is carried out just for this reason.The significance of the project and the research background are introduced firstly. Combining with the application actuality, an intelligent vehicle management system based on Bluetooth and GPS technologies is presented.In chapter 2, after discussing Bluetooth technology,the RFCOMM protocol and Serial Port Profile which will be used in system are discussed in detail.In chapter 3, the development environment is described and the Bluetooth chip used in the project is analyzed according to the characteristics of embedded systems.In chapter 4, 5 and 6, the design and realization of the military intellectual vehicle management system are given. Associate with the system functions, the realization of the vehicle card including software and hardware is discussed. And the design of management and control software is introduced briefly.Because the military vehicles are usually formed into columns when they move out to be trained or to carry out some other tasks, the communication among these vehicles is becoming more and more important. In the final part of this thesis, some current Bluetooth Ad Hoc network protocols are compared and analyzed. A network formation algorithm is presented and the application of Bluetooth Ad Hoc networks is studied, which can be applied in the vehicle administration system.The research of this thesis is one of the projects of Wireless Access System Based on Bluetooth Technology and Research and Application on the Key Technologies of Mobile Ad hoc Network, which are supported by the National Key Project of Science and Technology and the High Technology Research and Development Program of Jiangsu Province, respectively. The system developed in the thesis has been applied in many military units.
