Nowadays, the parameterized design technology has extensively got an application in the mechanical design field, and parameterized part-library can be made with the secondary developmental interface of the CAD system, that can release the labor of the designer and improve the design efficiency. However, most of the parameterized part-library can't expand, and users can't maintain it under the environment of the network either. Although there are many part-library systems working on the intranet under the C/S model, most of them can't be browsed dynamically under the three-dimensional (3D) model, and can't be shared on the internet either.The parameterized technique theory was illuminated in the paper firstly, and the expression methods of geometrical constraint and 3D parameterized model were introduced in detail. Utilized the technique of the network and the XML, combined with the feature analysis and establishment of parameters of the microwave part, a new 3D parameterized part-library prototype has been made in this project to solve the above-mentioned questions, that works on the B/S model.This prototype adopts Unigrahics as the CAD platform, and sets up the series of the microwave part as the example of application of the parameterized part-library. In the prototype, Users can access to the website easily using the web browsers. It has been made with the XML, ASP.NET and ADO.NET technique, and users can browse the part conveniently and dynamically.After the the research work, the research accomplishment provides solusion and technique platform for the design resource sharing and the cooperative design on the internet.
