Research On Technology Of Decision Support In Distance Education Evaluation System

With the progress of distance education in China, more and more people pay attention to its quality. Constructing Distance education evaluation system by using information method, realizing evaluation on the net, is what national education department does to assure distance education quality. Because of the large amount of information and the un_quantitative of evaluation criterion, experts can hardly get a rapid and certain judgement in the process of evaluation. Under this circumstance, decision support technology is introduced in this paper to make experts analyze, compare, evaluate information, and eventually make decision scientifically,rapidly and certainly.Based on the research of decision support theory, this paper proposes the decision support system structure of distance education evaluation, combined with its characteristics. Three main parts, including database, model base and interaction interface, are designed in detail. At the same time, data analysis model, representation model, comprehensive evaluation model are proposed.The research is supported by the national 863 project:"Research and application demonstration of network education quality about national evaluation and self-evaluation system based on homemade LINUX"(NO. 2004AA1Z2520).
