With the rapid development of computer technology and network technology, it is an inevitable trend that the embedded system combines with Internet technology. At the present time, it is one of the study hotspots in the area of industrial control, which applies the embedded Internet technology to the area of industrial monitoring system to realize remote monitoring.The embedded WEB server gateway is a kind of network equipments with high performance and low cost. It applies the embedded Internet technology to realizing remote monitoring, and has the following features: using it as a WEB server, on the Internet, users can conveniently access and monitor industrial field equipments via WEB browse; as a Gateway, it can realize large-scale high-speed information transmission and resources sharing; it integrates with many kinds of field-bus interface. Different interface industrial field equipments can combine with Internet via the embedded WEB server gateway.To start with, this paper analyzes the development trend of making the embedded system connected to Internet, proposes that it is an inevitable trend that applies embedded Internet equipment to industry monitoring system, and discusses the resolvent of allowing industrial field-bus and Ethernet to work toward seamless connectivity. Applying the embedded WEB server gateway to monitoring system is the best choice; Afterward, a series of key technologies are analyzed, such as embedded Internet, embedded TCP/IP protocol stack, CGI technology, field-bus protocol and network security. Embedded WEB server gateway based on 51 MCU is designed and implemented. The software is based on modularization and has strong portability. By using the monitoring software, a test system is founded and the performance of the embedded system based on 51 MCU is tested. The software portability of the embedded WEB server gateway based on 51 MCU is studied. In the end, embedded WEB server gateway development model are given.Taking embedded WEB server gateway based on 51 MCU as an example, security, reliability and the real-time control performance of the embedded WEB server gateway is studied, which lays the foundation stone of developing high performance embedded WEB server gateway.
