In order to ensure the stability of low-voltage distribution network, it's important to monitor the production equipments in industrial production sites. Also in order to master the status of production process for managers and make decisions in time, the seamless integration between control network and management network is required. At that time, the control and management integration comes true. The best status among production, prosecution and management also realized.Aiming at these requests mentioned above, the feasibility of application of Ethernet in low-voltage distribution monitoring control system and the methods of application are discussed in this paper. In view of the wide application of fieldbus in enterprise, the gateway is used to connect two different networks, and the model of low-voltage distribution monitoring control system integrated Ethernet and fieldbus is presented. Based on TCP/IP, a data interface is developed with the use of Winsock to realize the data exchange between monitoring PC and gateway. As the bridge of the intelligent equipments that joined into Ethernet by gateway and monitoring PC, the data interface parses the network protocol and make the data transmission transparent for monitoring control software.The disadvantage of the monitoring control software based on KINGVIEW that is used in enterprise now is analyzed. Considering the needs of user, a universal monitoring control software based on VC is developed. This software, together with gateways and the intelligent equipments constitute the monitoring control system. The software displays the data acquired by the intelligent equipments. It also takes in the control information input by the managers and deliveries the information to the intelligent equipments through the gateways. Through this method, this software provides a uniform monitoring control platform and shields the differences of control networks. The remote monitoring and controlling of the production equipments comes true.Through actual operation, the system based on Ethernet is better than that based on fieldbus. It provides a compatible system with the use of universal monitoring and control network, makes the different local control networks integrate easier, and creates conditions to optimize the resource in enterprise.
