The precision measurement of circular graduation is one of the most important measurements in the measurement of geometric measure. The graduators have been developed form pure mechanical way, pure optical way, or that of combing optics with mechanics to new graduators such as optical-grating, magnetic-grating, inductosyn, and so on, which is integration of mechanics and electronics, or integration of mechanics, optics and electronics. Time-grating is a true new conception, which is a new circular graduator that combining machine, electronics and microcomputer. On the research of TST method and Time-grating sensor response characteristic, a new Time-grating displacement sensor——incremental Time-grating displacement sensor is presented for the first time. The study and researches are carried on the achieving way, circuit design, program design of the single-chip microcomputer processing system of incremental Time-grating angle displacement sensor in this paper, and the feasibility of incremental time-grating displacement sensor principle was testified, make it possible to be applied in sensor designed.Incremental Time-grating displacement sensor is a true new displacement measure theory based on TST method. Its theory and idea have been testified. According to the tutor's request, under the circumstance of lacking reference material about the theory, the author researched TST method and Time-grating sensor's response characteristic and presented the theory of incremental Time-grating displacement sensor. The work including research and present of the theory; design of the whole system; design, processing, adjusting of the signal processing circuit, the microprocessor and its peripheral circuit; composing and regulating of the assembly program; mapping of the printed circuit board; and the whole experiment. During the research, the author presented the theory of incremental Time-grating displacement sensor and the solve case, and applied many skills to solved the problem of the incremental error cumulate calculate, the interface of NC, and so on. The designers who work in the area of industrial control and measurement should take the author thinks that is still a matter into account.
