A Research On Simulating Systems Based On HLA

This paper dissertates on how to design and construct simulating systems based on HLA. HLA is distributed, object-oriented and interactive which was made by Department of Defense, USA. It is mainly used in military simulating systems so far. This paper also has a try to introduce the HLA to networking simulating systems through the experiences on constructing military simulations.There are four parts in the paper which are 1) An introduction to the background of the research; 2) An introduction to HLA, especially to the basic conceptions of object models; 3) Based on a joint project during my postgraduate study, the paper made an introduction to how to build military simulating systems; 4) Take the protocol of RIP as an example to discuss on how to construct networking simulating systems.
