We should comply with the Federation Development and Execute Process Model (FEDEP) as we develop simulation application based on High Level Architecture (HLA). The federation integration and test is an important part of FEDEP. It has great meaning for us to timely find the error in the simulation during the federation development, it ensures the correctness of federation development, shortens the development cycle of federation. So, it's necessary for us to focus on the research of key technologies of the federation integration and test.Based on the current research status of HLA's federation testing and the challenges which the HLA's federation testing is facing, this paper researches deeply on the key technologies of federation integration and test conformable to IEEE1516. The main tasks and innovations as follow:There would be lots of testing redundancy and lower testing efficiency if we thoroughly test all kinds of combination of Simulation Object Model (SOM) information while testing federate conformance. Aiming at these problems, a technology which produces testing federate conformable to IEEE 1516 is proposed. This technology effectively reduces the testing redundancy and improves the testing efficiency by the way of filtering the repetitious information in the federate'SOM.During the integration testing, if we want a federate that is developing to join the testing federation, we have to wait. Waiting causes lower testing efficiency, and at the same time, it's difficult for us to distinguish the error in the testing federation because there is no standard federates. To solve these problems, this paper presents a testing method which makes use of the information of federate SOM, generates proxy federate to substitute related federate to join the federation for integration testing. This testing method reduces the testing complexity and error finding difficulty, improves the integration testing efficiency. If a federation includes lots of federates, there would be large number of workload during the integration testing. In order to reduce testing workload and ensure the testing correctness of integration testing, an Optimized Basic Test Group (OBTG) algorithm is provided. This algorithm optimizes the way of selecting basic group of traditional Basic Test Group (BTG) algorithm, and enhances the integration testing efficiency effectively.Aiming at problems such as lower integration and single function of current federation testing tools, this paper provides a schema that integrates the federate conformance testing function and integration testing function. To solve the problems that the data types in federate'SOM or federation'FOM (Federation Object Model) are different from those data types in RTI services.
