| Simulation and Training System of National Economy Mobilization is a computer simulation system that based on HLA which simulates the mobilization plans in virtual incidents. Using the HLA, problem occurs when the system is upgraded, especially when it runs in WAN. For example, the reusability is not so good and in some situation, the transmitting data needed to be filtrated. What's more the network is overloaded. To solve this problem, A design that uses Federate Bridge in the HLA simulation to form the hier-archical federation is proposed.Until now, there are 4 ways to design hierarchical federation: Gateway, Bridge, RTI Broker, RTI Interoperability Protocols. All of them are briefed. In these 4 ways, the Bridge Federate is most widely discussed, and is most potential too. So it's the main topic in this paper. Here, the few main factors that affect the hierarchical federation system are dis-cussed. Then a common structure of the Bridge Federate is brought forward.There are 3 main parts in the common structure of the Bridge Federate: Federate Proxy, Conversion Component and Communication Component. Federate Proxy Repre-sents the Bridge between the two Federations, in which, the Bridge is regarded as one Federate. It is the Conversion Component which links the two ends of the Bridge, through a shine upon relations. Because the Bridge may work in LAN or WAN, it is designed as two kinds: Centralized and Distributed.The Federate Bridge in Simulation and Training System of National Economy Mobi-lization is oriented from the common structure. It works as a federate properly. What's more, according to the WAN enviornment, the Distributed type is adopted, connected us-ing TCP. According to the result of experiments, it's ture that performance of the system is better after it was formed as hierarchical federations using Federate Bridge.At last, the paper summarizes and looks to the future of the Bridge Federation in HLA. |
