The advent of Virtual Reality technology solves a series of difficulties in drilling field and makes safe efficient military training possible. How to build a simulated ocean environment and support applications for operational training or campaign drilling with it is gradually becoming a study field that people concern. The contents and results of research in this paper are shown as the following:First, components of ocean environment are analyzed; the collection and management of ocean environment information are studied.Second, the basic techniques of modeling and simulation are studied, the modeling of all entities and 3D terrain in virtual ocean environment are accomplished with the help of Creator. Basic ocean environmental effects are realized in Vega's graphics interface LynX.Third, the techniques to adjust ocean environmental effects dynamically are studied. Ocean environment effects are adjustable according to the real ocean environment information with the help of these techniques. This makes virtual ocean environment more flexible to use.The last, Distributed Interactive Simulation technique based on HLA frame is introduced. The mode in which the virtual ocean environment participates in simulant applications and the virtual ocean environment's status in simulant applications are studied. In order to simulate the user-defined and high reality ocean environment and improve the reference value of operational training or campaign drilling, this paper focuses its interest on the adjustments of ocean environment effects. Meet the need of ocean environment simulation for reality and real-time, it is possible to be extended and applied in some system that contains virtual ocean war field. 2... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Virtual reality, simulation, ocean environment, Auto-modeling, 3D terrain, HLA | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
