The technique of 3D visualization is the popular research direction in current computer graphics, one of the focuses is how to solve the contradiction between scene reality and painting speed.To solve this problem, this thesis proposes a kind of data partition strategy based on viewpoint, and sets up the index form of the scene for the surface feature information so that uses the index to judge the surface entity information accurately when each of terrain blocks is visited. According to the space position relativity of the scene data proposes the dynamic schedule strategy which is based on terrain block, and derives out the optimization method of LOD switch and collision detection. In addition, this thesis also introduces the model simplification method and optimization method of drawing effect. Finally on the VEGA platform carries out a kind of desktop class unimmersive virtual roaming system in the common PC. This system has received the satisfactory result in the aspects of the drawing effect and running speed.
