Design Of Interface Management Software Of Routers

The interfaces are important equipments of routers and can be used to transfer data from routers to other equipments in network. To improve the capability of routers and solve the problem that there are too many kinds of interfaces to manage, the interface management software is designed, coded and simulated by Visual C in this thesis.The main results and achievements are summarized as follows:1. The effect and interfaces of routers are introduced detailed. The effect of the interface management software is discussed. The idea of the design of interface management software is proposed and the data structures of interfaces are set up.2. The interface creation and deletion modules of interface management software are designed. The flow charts are given and the modules are coded in C language and simulated by Visual C.3. The synchronization mechanisms of interface management software are designed. The flow charts are given and the synchronization module is coded in C language and simulated by Visual C.4. The maintenance module of interface management software is designed. It consists of interface order, interface state, interface link, interface hash link and writing driver failure of interface information. Their flow charts and data structures are all set up.5. The receiving and sending packet modules are designed and the flow charts are given. As an example, the receiving and sending packet modules are discussed in detail for one kind of messages.6. The effect of protocol Graceful Restart is discussed and the interface management hot backup module is designed. The synchronization mechanism of hot backup module to ensure the protocol Graceful Restart is proposed and the flow chart is given.In this thesis, interface management software is designed and coded. The design idea of interface management software proposed previously is carried out. The software is effective, reliable and robust and it has a promising future in project.
