Nowadays, the VR (Virtual Reality) has been widely applied to military training and fighting command, and at the same time, the virtual battle field has been studied and realized. As one part, the radar now plays more and more important role in modern warfare. How to integrate the representation of the radar detection range and the that of the virtual battle field, how to represent the performance of the radar in the virtual battle field, and how to represent the electromagnetic situations in the virtual battle field are all insistent demands and current trend. In this dissertation, the representation of the radar detection range in virtual battlefield environment, affected by atmosphere, terrain and electronic jamming, is researched. The theory, idea and methods are used to represent the invisible radar electromagnetic information so as to find and grasp the radar detection range. The author here also studies the embedding techniques of radar in virtual battlefield, so that the three-dimensional representation of radar detection range and virtual battlefield situation are blended in harmony. The major content and contribution of the dissertation include as following:1) Having done a research on the radar representing model. A geometry model is constructed after getting the radar detection range mathematic model. Then having established the representing model by dispersing the geometry space formed by geometry model.2) Having realized the radar detection range model embed in the virtual battle field and represented after calculated the influence by the environmental factors.3) Having a representation of radar detection range in the situation of ECM.4) Having designed an experimental system to validate the research. And the result shows the thesis has got a good performance.
