The high intense electronic countermeasure action in modern warfare makes the battlefield electromagnetic environment continues to deteriorate for both sides of the combat parties.It is especifically manifested in the following areas: there are so large numbers of radiation sources which not only have lots of signal patterns but also have a high wide bandwidth;the high density of the radiation signal overlapped on the wide bandwidth.The question of how to develop or improve electronic warfare equipment,train the electronic warfare combatants is an important issue to solve for winning the modern war under the high-tech level.To solve these problems,a system is proposed which combines tactical layer simulation with RF level simulation,then,a combat environment is established that closed to the actual combat environment.Starting from the top-lever design,these problems such as function requirement,system structure and designing scheme of the system are deeply elplored,then,take the LPI radar signal as example,we analyzed the simulation method of the radar signal and the key technology of how to acquire Low Interception Performance of radar such as dynamic power management and pulse compression,etc;From the angle of the tactical level simulation,the key technology such as the Pulse Describe Word(PDW)mode,the method how PDW is generated of RF radar signal,and the movement behavior model of the radiation source simulation system are analyzed deeply,also,the idea of how the tractical simulation software is design and how the battlefield scene is displayed are studied.From the Angle of the signal layer simulation,build a hardware environment with FPGA and high-speed DAC daughter card to generate all kinds of baseband radar signal under complex modulation.Then,the design method of how signal are generated based on DDS and the interface logic between FPGA and high-speed DA chip are analyzed deeply.At last,a detailed test is given to the system which we designed,the result indicates that the simulation system has reached the design requirements and has a strong engineering application value.
