In modern warfare,the radars,communications,navigations,jammers and other weapons are used for improving the level of information.However,as the radiation power of the weapons increase,some harmonic components are generated,and the electromagnetic environment of the battlefields becomes complex.On the other hand,some aspects,such as the command and control of the army,equipment performance,survival and other aspects,are all based on the sensing of the battlefield electromagnetic environment.It is necessary that the military training should be conducted in complex electromagnetic environment.In this paper,the concept,composition and characteristics of the battlefield electromagnetic environment are analyzed,and we summarize the analytical methods and characteristics of the complex electromagnetic environment.On the basis of these,different methods are employed,and the advantages and disadvantages of the comprehensive battlefield electromagnetic environment are quantitatively analyzed.Combining the qualitative and quantitative measurement,we propose a comprehensive evaluation system.To simulate and evaluate the complex electromagnetic environment of battlefield,a complex electromagnetic environment simulation software is designed,the performance of general evaluation methods is verified,and we point out some problems that still need to be analyzed.The complexity of the electromagnetic environment is evaluated from the time,frequency,airspace and energy domain.Firstly,using the characteristics of spatial,time and frequency domain,the overall situation of the complex electromagnetic environment can be assessed quantitatively.The complex electromagnetic environment can be divided into the background and the jamming.Based on this,the parameters are unified and dimensionally processed,and the weight coefficients are determined by applying the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process.The complexity of the electromagnetic environment is evaluated by the "National Military Standard for Battlefield Electromagnetic Environment Classification and Classification".Battlefield complex electromagnetic environment assessment is a complex system engineering,especially in the evaluation of the selection of indicators,assessment methods to determine the electromagnetic environment parameters and factor weight factor to confirm,etc.,directly affect the effectiveness and objectivity of the assessment results.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out in-depth study and make full use of the real data to modify and perfect the evaluation system and method of electromagnetic environment in order to form a reasonable and effective evaluation method theory.
