Research On The Quality And Management System For Scientific-Technological Journals Of Shanghai Universities

Scientific and technological journals play an important role on the scientific technological information spreading, and link scientific achievements to real productivity, which also are media of scientific achievements published by experts and scholars, in so far, science and technology can be developed and bloomed further. Based on the methods of documentary research, questionnaire investigation, experts visiting talks and statistics, through wide investigation on presence of scientific-technological journals of Shanghai universities, this essay mainly studied the quality and management system of the journals, analyzed the existing problems, explored the factors which limit the development continuously in a good way, therefore, some practical measures for better development are forwarded.Conclusion:I Aspects of the journal qualityWith right political ideas, the journals can control the ideology along with mainstream, so the aim of scientific-technological journals serving science and technology should be always insisted on.At present, the quality of editing and printing is not satisfactory, the formalization, standardization, writing revision and error rate are always problems, the journal covers and design should be improved further- Academic quality is poor, such as: Total Cites are relative low; Impact Factor, thesis amount, proportion of fund thesis, entering national and international searches system rate are low; the volume of paper subscription and being used is not enough; the overwhelming column is very few; there are only 12 journals with Chinese and English among 57 investigated Scientific-technological journals.The factors affecting the journals' quality as follows: journal-running ideas and aims, Impact Factor, proportion of fund thesis, Total Cites, entering national and international searches system rate.II Aspects of management systemEditorial departments did not attach importance to affiliated journals as much as they should.Most of the leaders in the editorial departments did not lay stress on their journals, as they regard Scientific-technological journals' status low, and do not...
