Automatic vision detection has become a vital part of the computer integrated manufacture systems. There are many kinds of detection, manufacturing surveillance and identification of parts in manufacturing. Vision detection is becoming more and more necessary.Owing to the combination of speediness and repetition of the computer and the intellect and abstract of human being, the technology of Machine-Vision has come into being. The Machine-vision system used to take images by CCD or CMOS, and change them into digital signals, and then process the digital signals using the advanced computer technique of hardware and software. With the special values got in the image processing, the system can identify the parts and detect the defects of machines.Based on the results, the system displays the images, exports the data ,sends out the instructions, and with the feedback, it will continue to finish the position adjusting, quality filtering. In the research, the system captures real-time images based on the SDK, and saves the image data into buffers which are created by the system. The important and primary parts are got using the programs which are designed to process and analyze the image data in the buffers, and the geometrical features such as area, perimeter, moment invariants and fourier descriptor, are measured . The parts are classified according to the threshold of each geometrical feature with the image database.Using VC++ 6.0 as the development platform, the system combines the common processing and analyzing image by means of image geometry change, process enhancement, edge detection, region segmentation, feature extraction and so on.Based on the image processing and recognition, the system realizes the functions of color recognition, shape recognition and inspection under the laboratorial environment.
