In recent years, the inspecting technology based on machine vision is used more and more widely abroad characterized with high efficiency, high credibility and low cost. However, inland the application and research of the technology is in the initial stage, dropping behind the developed countries. In this paper, the technologies about inspection based on machine vision are researched. On the base of the research, the method for inspection of cigarette case printing is proposed and the inspection of cigarette case printing software experimental system based on machine vision is developed.The main contributions of this paper are the folio wings:1. Introduce conceptions and applications of machine vision2. Propose general mode of inspection based on machine vision3. Research construction of machine vision-based inspection system4. Research the image processing technology in machine vision-based inspection5. Research inspection of cigarette case printing based on machine vision and get some achievements:Propose method of locating feature of cigarette case printing image Propose method of inspecting printing registration based on chromatic crosses Propose method of inspecting deficiency of bronzing based on relative match Propose method of inspecting printing smear based on difference image6. Develop the inspection of cigarette case printing software experimental system based on machine visionTheoretical study and practical experiments have proved the efficiency and the feasibility of the method for inspection of printing registration, bronzing deficiency and printing smear provided in this paper. Future study is bond to benefit from the achievements of this paper.
