The synchronous control system has been widely applied in industrial fields, such as papermaking, printing and dyeing and textile industry and so on, as the accuracy and stabilization of the operation of the synchronous control system can contribute a lot to the product quality and production efficiency. Therefore, the research of the synchronous control has been a focus in the automation field. This paper aims to find out the implementing method of the synchronous control system based on the embedded system and industrial Ethernet.The article used the Samsung S3C4510B ARM chip based on ARM7TDMI core as the processor, and made the necessary expansion of the hardware which, is in turn used as the hardware layer; and together with the μCLinux transplanted onto the hardware layer served as the embedded operation system. The operation of the self-invented application procedure on this operation system constructs the embedded system. Those isolated and yet self-governed embedded systems will be used as the nodes on the industrial Ethernet, the circulation of the network communication procedure among the nodes will inevitably lead to the data exchange among the embedded systems. It will also make improvement of the real-time of the Linux operation system, and the network communication data of the system collected under various conditions will be analyzed and used in the solution of the real-time of network data transmission in the synchronous control system.The industrial Ethernet is a new method to the solution of the industrial control network transmission. Researches have been carried out on it both at home and abroad. Yet a unified standard hasn't been found for this feasible communication means. This paper attempts to prove that the application of the industrial Ethernet based on the embedded system with ARM CPU to the synchronous control system will be a beneficial attempt and will have a promising future.
