This issue aims the requirements of papermaking industry, and takes research anddevelopment of reliable,low cost,to build flexible,easy to upgrade of quality controlsystem(QCS) in papermaking mill as the goal.Firstly, this paper introduces thepapermaking process, and studies the basic principles and structure of the paper qualityparameters monitoring and control in papermaking workshop. Then, it applies theindustrial ethernet communication technologies to papermaking industry and brings upa new program of monitoring and control system based on industrial ethernet.According to the program, the overall hardware and software structure is completedbased on hardware core AT91RM9200and embedded Linux operating system.The paper chooses AT91RM9200as the hardware platform, and discusses thedetailed design for circuits of key hardware module of quality control system, whichincludes power circuit, system clock circuit, reset circuit, SDRAM interface circuit,NOR Flash interface circuit, NAND Flash interface circuit, DM9161Ethernetcommunication circuit, RS232serial communication circuit, basis weight measurementcircuit, moisture measurement circuit, drive control circuit and alarm circuit, etc.The paper uses Embeded Linux as the software developing platform. The overallsoftware architecture is dividede into three layers which are bootloader, Linuxoperating system and application from the bottom up, respectively. This paperdiscusses the construction of software platform and the Linux application software, theplatform construction includes bootloader design for AT91RM9200and the porting ofEmbedded Linux operating system. The application software includes data acquisitionand processing, the improved PID algorithm, and industrial ethernet managementprogram.Finally, the paper completes performance testing of the modules designed andgives the result of experimentation. Results have proved that quality control systembased on Industrial Ethernet has many virtues such as reliable,low cost,to buildflexible,and easy to upgrade. So it has good prospects of promotion....
