Undoubtedly the development of Internet is a great thing of media in 20th century; by its unique means it puts "global, village" into realities. With the development of Internet, people's recognition become mature and people's fantasy and adoration of it return to senses slowly. The theory of communication effect is a focal point in mass communication study all the time. From the researching actualities of the field on Internet communication, we can see many achievements have been piled up. But deeply and systematical studies on the relationship between the Internet communication mode and the theory of communication effect is deficient. Can the traditional theory of communication effect be applied into the field of the Internet communication? In what degree this impact occurs on traditional communication effect theory? How does Internet communication mode affect the theory of communication effect? Some papers have discussed these questions fragmentally, but there has no any articles researching them maturely and systematically. My paper sets about from the beginning of the theory of mass communication----the relationship between disseminator and audience, through the study of "gatekeeper". I pay my attention to the impact of some important theories such as "agenda-setting", "the spiral of silence" and "use and gratification" in the Internet communication environment.
