How to manage the memory tersely and efficiently is a lasting topic in the theory and design of computer operating system (OS). As far as now, the OS have become an administrator of a system which has multi-users and multi- tasks at the same time from a simple fore-back ground software. In the process of OS development, whether the memory management is perfect is always an import standard to verify a OS excellent or terrible. Now, the most OS on host computer, server and PC, has a perfect memory management sub-system, whatever in UNIX series or in Window family, which adopt the design of virtual memory widely to provide a huge and separate address space for every process and protect the memory by address mapping. So the whole system becomes stable, secure and lusty. But in the embedded computer world, the most of embedded OS has a simple even rough memory management sub-system for the limit hardware resource and the requirement of real time. In the system, all processes or tasks share the whole physical memory space directly in a flat model. So, very possibly, one process or task with some program bug would impact the other process or task's work, even destroy OS's kernel area and crash the whole system. More terribly, within the flat...
