With the development of computer technology, simulation and design optimization with computer get more attention in studying the multi-body system dynamics .Based on synthesis to the simulation and design optimization of the multi-body system dynamics, in this dissertation, some studies have been done in theory and practical application for the requirement of the simulation and design optimization of multi-body system dynamics, and summarized as the following aspects:1. A collective integrated framework of simulation and design optimization of multi-body system has been proposed, based on the analysis of the multi-body theory and the design flow of multi-body system. This framework not only proposes an idea that simulation should cooperate with design optimization, but also refers to data processing of simulation and design optimization, during the design of multi-body.2. A method of modeling using macro or command language has been proposed. A platform of modeling has been designed and implemented using the model of clamp mechanism as a case. This method adapts for the given domain and helps to improve the efficiency of design or ameliorate the multi-body system.3. Based on analysis to multidisciplinary co-simulation in this dissertation, we have studied the co-simulation technology between ADAMS and Matlab based on interface. Furthermore, we take the Antilock Braking System of car as a case to validate it. We have summarized the differences among the modules of ADAMS when they do co-simulation with Matlab.4. Based on the study of the integrated method of multidisciplinary design optimization we have implemented the integration of ADAMS and iSIGHT and use the model of clamp mechanism to validate it. It provides a reference for the platform to layout, actualize and run.5. A method of automatic creating documents based on the XML and Macro has been proposed, in order to deal with the problem of waste time and strenuosity in analyzing and coordinating the data of simulation and design optimization. A automatic creating documents system has been designed and implemented, and highly improve the efficiency to deal with the data of simulation and design optimization.
