With the development of society and improvement of living level of people, people think highly of the ride comfort and handling stability of the vehicle more and more. Vehicle suspension system is the most important factor to the ride comfort and handling stability of vehicle. Travlling performance of vehicle is improved efficiently by adjusting the performance parameter of suspension system. With the application of virtual prototyping technology in the field of vehicle industry, people can set up dynamical simulation modle in order to carry out the study of the ride comfort, handling stability and optimization design of vehicle. It can supply a new way for development and design of vehicle.First, the paper introduce multi-body system dynamics theories and basic theories of ADMAS.Second, full-vehicle dynamical model of a certain vehicle is established by means of the software Adams/Car Ride based on four_post_testrig, including six subsystems:front suspension,rear suspension,body,tire,steering system. the different stochastic_uneven road of left side and right side is established to consider complicated road impacting on full_vehicle performance and it make results of simulation closer to reality.The ride comfort and handling stability is both considered, so design variable is established by means of spring stiffness and damping, multi_objective function is established by means of RMS of acceleration, dynamic load of four tire and the right condition of constraint is established; multi_objective function is converted to single_objective function to seek solution by means of linear weight sum method, the key of seeking solutions is to compute power coefficient, and it is computed by ordering method.After the dynamical model is simulated and optimized, the results shows that RMS of acceleration and dynamic load of four tire have varying degrees of decrease, the travelling performance of full_vehicle is obviously improved. it proved that the mult_objective optimization method is efficient and feasible.Adopting method of the paper supply the basis of theory for design considering the maching of the suspension system parameters. It can shorten the development cycle and reduce the development costs, in addition, it also have importment references for the other design of mechanical products.
