The Design And Implementation Of A Distance Education System Based On B/S

The 21st century is an era of digital, web and ken. New-era provides wider arena for Distance education' s development. Distance education is a kind of teaching mode that uses various kind of teaching method to finish teaching courses. Students can share the high-class teaching resources and get modern, high-level and professional education. The distance education based on Web has been a new teaching mode. This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a distance education system based on B/S.Based on wide study and a great deal of bibliography, this thesis comprehensively study and conclude the situation of current distance education system, teaching mode and network teaching. Based on the analysis and conclusion of systemization, web and application of the course of Visual Basic, this system adopt Browser/Server (B/S) mode and design idea. This thesis carried on the general design of this teaching Web on Visual Basic. This teaching web choose Microsoft Access 2000 as its background database ; powerful Dreamweaver MX 2004 as the software which is used to develop the web site; the technology ASP adopted by this web site make lovely dynamic interactive web home page more easy. Finally, this system study following key technologies: ASP, IIS etc.Take advantage of all technologies mentioned above, I try to develop some sub-system such as multimedia teaching, answering classroom, chat room, providing exercises and web-test. This web site has great significance on promoting Visual Basic course to carry on web-teaching and improving teaching quality and pushing teaching revolution.
