Research Of Highway Project Measurement And Payment System Based On The Integrated Technique Of Workflow And GIS Technology

With the scale of our economic and infrastructure construction expanding progressively, recognition and research on IT construction in the supervision of highway projects is increasing gradually. Process of measurement and payment in a highway project controls the engineering quantity, payment amount, material, schedule etc. of the whole project. It is the key to the whole business of construction and supervision, and it has very important influence on them. The process of measurement and payment determines the efficiency and schedule of the whole project.Based on several years of research work, and the extensively used applications and a great number of users'feedbacks of the current C/S-mode system of highway project measurement and payment, after further analysis and deduction, this paper proposes a highway project measurement and payment system (HPMPS) that adopted the idea of integrating workflow and GIS technologies,and analyzes its system structure. An implementation of a workflow system is given as an example at the end of the paper.In chapter 2, this paper introduces fundamental knowledge for integrating workflow and GIS technologies, including basic concepts of workflow, workflow management system and its development directions; it also introduces fundamental knowledge on component based GIS, dot NET framework and its key technologies.
