With the rapid development of virtual reality and fractal theory, virtual plant becomes an important research direction. The development of plant not only is affected by inner factors, but also is affected by the outside environment factors. So the consideration of the correlation between plant and environment is necessary in order to make the simulation much more real. By analyzing the effect of environment on the plant in nature, the paper puts forward the model of plant development based on the environment sensitivity. The studies are included as following: by analyzing the mechanism of plant growth in nature and utilizing the L-system as the foundation of modeling to describe the topology of plant growth, the paper enhances the L-system function, and integrates the randomicity to make the effect more natural and real. Then in order to simulate the effect of environment on plant, the Forest Gap Model is used. Furthermore some restriction equations of plant shape are adopted, such as relation of the height and the DBH (diameter at breast height) of tree, the relation of the DBH and the age of tree, which makes the simulation more scientific.
