Remote supervisory and control is that the local computer supervise and control the far end by network system thereby accomplishing the supervisory of scatter control network as well as diagnose and maintenance of far-end equipment. Supervisory and control software is main part of it, having the character of high real time and reliable. Increases of supervisory spots and system users always bring more and more pressure on system. As a result developer and user always found the system performance after using for a period of time appear many problems, such as large extend of fluctuation, drop-out date and the system response is not satisfactory etc, the result of which is that the user can not supervise spot working immediately and accurately, in more severe circumstance it can make whole system do not work normally or make whole system paralysis.Main cause of above problems is that the developer did not consider how to improve system efficiency sufficiently when they designed and developed system and ignored the crucial role of system efficiency playing on the stability of whole system.In this paper causes of the problems appeared in remote supervisory and control system were analyzed at the first. Then the methods of improving system efficiency were studied on the consideration of every links in system developing cycle and each part of the system. Based on above works an optimization scheme of system performance was proposed. In this scheme improvement of system performance was achieved by the ensemble of local optimization such as system structure optimization, development tools optimization, design of date base optimization, structure of application program optimization and design of inquiry optimization, at last an efficient operating system was obtained and the system performance is fully meet the require of users.Optimization scheme of system performance proposed in this paper was used in oil well remote control and supervisory system project in Beijing Collihight sensoring technology center, practical application have proved its effectiveness. It would be helpful for other remote supervisory and control system.
