Study On Application Construction Of Metropolitan Area Network

Content: Our country is advancing the informationization process of education actively to realize the great-leap-forward development. The Ministry of Education has decided to popularize the information technology education in middle and primary schools throughout our country in five to ten years, by implementing the "all schools connected" project in an all-round way, so as to bring along the modernization of education through informationization to realize the great-leap-forward development of basic education.Following the deepgoing of education informationization, the EMAN(education metropolitan area network) emerges like the mushrooms after rain. Since the appearance of the campus net of the middle and primary schools in 1998, EMAN has already been build up in more than 400 cities in the whole country. The things need a course to be " built " from scratch, But" build " itself is not the final purpose. After the construction of the hardware environment of MAN, it worth thinking most how to applicate EMAN in an effective and scientific way. Those MAN accomplishing resource-sharing of campus net with higher practicability of functional module can really be few.The application of the EMAN, become the key question that we pay close attention to. Through relying on the study of the operation of EMAN of Nanchang City over the past two years, summarizing existing research results, practical experience and existing problem, combining my working practice, adopting such research approaches such as document consulting, information retrieval and interview, I study systematically on how to conduct effective application of EMAN in middle and primary schools of our country.Therefore, I believe, it's very significent to start with the application construction and management of the EMAN, and work out a set of effective methods which accord with the present EMAN. Through the research and practice of the subject, I would like to summarize the mechanism of application and management of EMAN which accord with the current situation of our country, and expect to explore its development model, so as to reach the renewal of the idea of development of EMAN.
