With the quickly development of mobile communication technology, how to offer the QoS guarantee mobile service based on IP in the mobile communication network, has already become one of the focuses studied at present. In the mobile network, the mobility of the termination has brought a lot of difficult problems to QoS. To better solute the impact of mobility on QoS, this article has analyzed various mobility solutions, and compared with the good and bad points of providing the mobility support in each level. The mobility management protocols based on IP such as Mobile IP, Celluar IP, Hierarchical Mobile IP and HAWAII are discussed in detail. The essential technology which HAWAII uses is also analyzed with emphasis. Contrast to Mobile IP, the mobility correlation signal load of HAWAII is much lighter. Analyzed has turned on that it is more feasible to adopt HAWAII as mobility management in the mobile access network. In order to compare the handoff performance of Mobile IP and HAWAII, the opening source code network simulator NS2 was used.On the basis of fully understanding the realization mechanism of NS2, the simulation platform that the experiment needs was built through expanding the protocol library of NS2.The experimental model and simulation procedure were designed and implemented. After the experiment, the experimental datum was computed and analysised. The result of this expriment proved the advantage of handoff performance of HAWAII.In access network, in order to provide the QoS guarantee mobile service, this article uses RSVP, which is involved in IntServ model, as QoS signal protocol to reserve resources for service flows. Through combining the micro mobility management protocol and resource reserve protocol, a QoS plan with HAWAII and RSVP interaction was put forward. And an experiment was designed and implemented under network simulator NS2 to validate the advantage of this plan. In the experiment, TCP and UDP were used to generate the great background dataflows, and the transmission of audio data was observed. Through computing and analysing the experimental datum by the procedure which was specially designed, the receive...
