Visual simulation of aerocraft attitude and orbit data plays an important part in space mission analysis and demonstration. Satellite Tool Kit, which is developed by AGI, is a widely used software in spaceflight and aviation. This thesis mainly deals with relevant application problems of STK in visual simulation of flight data.The thesis firstly introduces the coordinate systems which are used commonly in flight dynamics and their transformations, and the technological knowledge of the application of STK in flight data visualization. Then it does some research on the problems which occur in using STK to realize flight data visualization, and gives some effective methods to solve these problems. These problems include the combination of models, the relevant problems of data inputing, synchronizing problem of real-time simulation, data transform and interpolation. Specially, this thesis does some research on the relative problems of parameters transform when a satellite is to be launched. Finally, on the basis of the solution of these problems, a visual simulation interface module is developed using VC++ and STK/ CONNECT module, and the display effect of STK, data transform validity and how to choose the best interpolation method are also analyzed.The visual simulation interface module includes the solutions to the problems which occur while using STK to realize flight data visual simulation. The time-consuming operations, which are needed to fulfill a visual simulation in the STK users' interface, are also integrated into the interface module. Users can conveniently realize visual simulation by doing some easy operations in the interface of the module. The convenience of the interface module and the vivid image display and strong data transform ability of STK can be of great help in space mission trajectory/orbit design and analysis.
