Knowledge Services (KS) rooted in enterprise management have brought active force to librarians searching new functions and values for themselves in the age of knowledge economy. However library knowledge services (LKS) still had some puzzling problems in theories and practices. The author defined KS and designed the mode of KS on the basis of studying correlative contents of KS, and investigating actualities of users'demands, users'utilizations and libraries'services, wishing the research can be beneficial to practices of libraries.Firstly, the author believed the concept of KS not only belongs to the field of library but also belongs to the knowledge service industry, and different main bodies of services have different aims of services. Before discussing about KS, the main body of the service must be identified. And LKS have the particular connotation.Secondly, the author investigated actualities of users'demands, users'utilizations and libraries'services in order to understand the level of LKS in our country. Then, LKS was graded into three layers: the basic layer, transitional layer, innovative layer.
