The 29th Olympic Games will be held in 2008 in Beijing. In two years away from opening, for Chinese culture it will be a rare opportunity, so it was necessary to study in depth the intercultural strategy and methods of television media.The first part of the paper written from the concept of the propaganda and give some summary information on the characteristics, the significance of foreign propaganda, characteristics and inevitability, presented the main elements of foreign culture perspective, and then explored several aspects of cross-cultural communication; Part two demonstrated about the relationship between the Olympic publicity propaganda and TV, because television program content will be adopted ultimately by picture, television transmission characteristics is through the dissemination of images, so the dissemination of video features, content be given more detailed studies;The third part contrasted the reports on main media of foreign countries about Olympic organizing four cities (Atlanta, Sydney, Athens, Beijing), for example, in its focus on and tendencies. About Olympic issue, the foreign media seemed to take more reports on the characteristics of China's political problems, so aimed at this conclusion, the paper combined video analysis and cross-cultural communication features, in the final chapter, the article advanced some specific strategies and methods of the Beijing Olympic organizing external cultural transmission of television program.
