Performance Technology is a kind of research area to enhance the workperformance of individuals, groups and organizations by means of analysis,designing, implementation and evaluation. It takes the total aim of theorganization as its guidance, on the basis of analyzing the performancedisparity and reasons to work out the best plan with low cost and highefficiency and improves it during the process of implementation and evaluationso as to enhance the work performance and efficiency of individuals, groupsand organizations to the maximum extent and to reach the aim.Performance Technology originally used in the enterprises and it mainlyput into practice in all kinds of enterprises especially in business. Then,can we use the theories, rules and ways of the Performance Technology intothe educational organizations? And it is also the theme of this article.Combined the two characteristics of the vocational education, that is:teaching in practice, and paying important attention to the technologydevelopment, this article takes the Electronic Performance Support System asthe key point which combined the performance technology and vocationaleducation together to study the possibilities and means of improvingeducational performance.Combined the information technology and performance technology together,the Electronic Performance Support System is based on the modern informationtechnology and combined computer teaching/training, professor system,multi-media, data base and internet technology together to supply the usersthe suitable and instant study and work ways. So, this paper thinks thatElectronic Performance Support System can be used in vocational technologyeducation.In the first part of the article, it discusses the notions and connotationsof performance and performance technology in details and analyzed the prospectusing in educational area. In the second part of the article, it introducesthe notions, characteristics and constitution of the Electronic PerformanceSupport System and the characteristics of the vocational education in detailsand probe into the possibilities that the Electronic Performance SupportSystem used in the vocational education. In the third part of the article,it discusses the theory basis. The fourth part is the key part of the article.It introduces the designing and ways of the Electronic Performance SupportSystem. The main characteristics of the Electronic Performance Support Systemis to give learners an instant support during their studying and working. Inthe fifth part of the article, it analyses the practical value for theElectronic Performance Support System, through using and evaluating thesystem.
