Applied Research, On Electronic Performance Support System

Electronic Performance Support System (abbreviated as EPSS) is a user-oriented system focused on performance. With the development of modern technology, say computer science, EPSS is quickly developed and improved especially in west in various industries such as education, military, aviation, corporation, and etc; while in China, it just starts to walk. Though more and more researches pay attention to this field, mostly they are theoretical practice. Compared with dozens of successful EPSS cases in foreign countries, we do lack in sophisticated products domestically.In this thesis, the writer introduces and summarizes the concept, domain, and relevant theories of EPSS in a systematic way. Taking H company marketing interns as the study target, the writer works on finding out their performance gap, analyzing causes, taking intervention measures—an intern working support system. Afterwards, the writer follows ADDIE instructional system design process, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the system.This thesis is to explore the effectiveness and efficiency of electronic performance support system to the improvement of temp staff and interns' performance. Meanwhile, it also summarizes the gains and loss of the case, to provide reference and inspiration to other researchers.
