Design And Implement Of Project Management System Based On J2EE And Workflow Technology

With the globalization of economic and rapid development of the information technology, new opportunities and challenges have been emerged in the field of project management. Modern enterprises face a great deal of getting information via the Internet/Intranet and managing resources and manufacture based on Web. It is a common demand for an elastic, open, portable and safe Project Management System (PMS) for modern enterprises. The fast development of Internet, especially the WEB development technology based on J2EE and workflow, gives strong support for constructing such a PMS. This paper presents a PMS based on J2EE and workflow technology.Firstly, the related concepts of PMS are introduced. Secondly, the development and characteristics of the software structure based on J2EE and workflow are described. This paper presents the developing process of our PMS in the aspects of requirement analysis, system patterns design and database design.The PMS in this paper is based on multiple layer and MVC pattern. This paper details the implementation of sub-systems in the developing process, including the presentation layer, operation logical layer and data layer. The presentation layer is implemented by JSP and JavaScript, the operation layer is implemented by EJB and JavaBean, the connection of the database is implemented by JDBC, and the functions of the system is implemented at the operation logical layer. The operation logical and the custom view chart are separate, which can make the development and maintenance of the system easier. This paper studys the definition of workflow and the module of workflow system, and how to use workflow technology in the project management system which is based on the characteristics of project management system.This paper is based on dynamic PMS for reconnaissance projects .It describes the design and developing process of a dynamic PMS for reconnaissance projects, which is based on J2EE and workflow technology. The requirement analysis, function design, implementation and flow chart of the PMS are detailed in this paper.
