The real-time database is a database system with time limiting data and transactions. Its basic features are that the data are not only with logic consistency, but also with external and interactive consistency, and the transactions are with timing too. The real-time database is used increasingly abroad, and in recent years it has become one of the most important research direction of the present-day database. More and more expert in database domain has paid attention to it.In this paper the features of the real-time database are introduced, and the paper also point out that why the conventional database is maladjustment for the data management of the real-time system.
