The flight procedure programming mostly depended on manual design in China from the early days.Today, the prevalence of computer technique lets the flight engineers can use some computer-aid design methods to speed up the work a little quickly. But this doesn't overcome the shortcoming of manual way. The method of flight procedure design must change.Through study various problems of electric plot and obstacles assessment in automatic design, we optimize the process of flight procedure automation, and give some new arithmetic of graphical and GIS assessment. We employ the database technique of Spatial data management, and realize the Aviation Flight Procedure Computer-aid Design System. This system include the automatic draft models of departure procedure, holding procedure, and missed approach procedure in Autodesk Map, the obstacles assessment model with Mapobjects GIS component, and SQL Server Database. The thesis divide into 4 parts, includes 8 chapters. The first part introduces the principles of flight procedure;the second part introduces the system's structure, functions, arithmetic and interfaces;the third part analyze different flight procedures and assessment program step by step; Finally, the article give the conclusion and future plan of improving plans. In practice, the aviation flight procedure computer-aid design system is a great achievement on improving efficiency and precision of flight procedures, ensuring the safety of flight, and advancing the civil flight management. The flight engineer can use this system to accomplish the entire design process. The data in this thesis are taken from Capital Airport. And this project is part of Computer-aid Flight Procedure Design Software project of Civil flight Huabei Airplane Department.
