The Research On Workflow Management System Based On Transaction Processing

With popularization of information technology and lots of dispositions of information system in enterprise, the business process of enterprise become more complicated. The appearance of workflow technology provide an effective methods for those business process. Workflow technology use the method of which is main of process, Workflow technology is the kernel technology of achieving model of business process ,emulation and optimization of business process,integration of enterprise appropriate system which is process-oriented,the process management and process automation. Workflow management is a valuable technology for the enterprise application.Workflow management system is a tool and platform of developing and executing the workflow.But workflow management systems are short of the solution of data's consistency,correction and reliability in the process of the business which is having a characteristic of transaction nowadays.Pulling-in the transaction character in the workflow system is a hot research point in the workflow research field in reent years. Workflow management system based on transaction are not only satisfactory to complicated business need of enterprise,but also strengthen the processing about resource allocation and intermediate result of activity running when system are executing long-time activities. Pulling-in the transaction character in the workflow system is protecting data's consistency in workflow system. On the other side,workflow system always occour kinds of error and unconventionality because of the complicated system.Transaction processing of system not only can processing the unpredictable error ,but also advance the reliability of system.The research work and innovation of this paper are as follows:1. Summarize the present research status and some problems in the workflow research based on the study and analyze the workflow management technology from the angle of definition,function and execution. Draw a conclusion of pulling-in the transaction character in the workflow system.2. Study the reference model of workflow management coalition(WFMC),and compare and analyze kinds of modeling methods through select kinds of typical performance index, then reach a conclusion of using Petri net to modeling.3. Through introduce the concept of transaction,ACID characteristic and status of transaction,compare the similarities and differences of classicaltransaction,advanced transaction and transaction in workflow.On the other side,my paper study the nested transaction,long transaction split/join transaction in workflow system.4. Proposing a partition method of transaction and activity based on summarize workflow management system in existence,and proposing a conception of transaction status transfer point of transaction correspondingly,then complete the modeling of workflow system based on transaction,then proposing a error recover mechanism based on the partition of transaction and activity.5. Complete the arithmetic and realize the model of workflow management based on transaction processing.
