Lication Of The Long Transaction Processing Model Based On Wf Workflow Engine

Workflow technology has a wide range using in the enterprise business process automation and applications. The reliability and validity of its own is growing concern for people as the system operating environment is more and more complexity. Transaction technology has an important role in improving the reliability and consistency of the workflow, but comparing ACID characteristics of traditional transaction, the transaction in workflow application is usually long transaction which has a long life cycle.it will not effectively support transaction processing in workflow system if directly copying the traditional transaction model, So it is a difficult point to design long transaction model and apply it in workflow system.This thesis analyzed the characteristics of long transaction in the workflow firstly,then pointed out the existed problems of long transaction processing model at workflow application, aiming at these problems, based on taking compensation mechanism of Sagas model, this thesis has introduced the Cancel mechanism and the Confirm mechanism,added Cancelling and Confirming process two section at the child transaction to help solving the existed the problems, after those works,this thesis proposed a long transaction model in workflow system which satisfies the nested structure of workflow activity,and have relax ACI characteristics,then the thesis discussed how to deal with concurrency control and error recovery at this long transaction model.Based on Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), the thesis analyzed and discussed how to implement the long transaction processing model at WF workflow engine. Finally, taking Recruitment Management System as an example, we discussed how to apply the long transaction processing model at it. The effects analyses show the model is available and effective.
