Workflow Management System Research And Implementation Of The Transaction

WfMS(Workflow Management System)is a platform and tool to implement Enterprise Application Integration(EAI).It not only integrates different business workflow and application functions into a system that can be run automatically and managed effectively through the platform, but also assures every computing application is integrated correctly by means of a workflow transaction.In this paper we analyze the difference between the transaction in WfMS and traditional transaction advanced transaction. Based on the analysis we concluded what's the most important and difficult in the transaction processing in WfMS. With the conclusion, a WfMS concept model with transaction feature was proposed. To make WfMS support transaction process well, we give the conception of transaction semantics, which classifies the transaction more according to the semantics character, so the user can deal with different transaction with corresponding way flexibly. We provide the rules for transaction recovery and a failure recovery algorithm to guarantee the workflow process be correct and consistent. And according the characters of workflow exception, there is a multi-tiers and extendable exception model to ensure the workflow's reliability and robustness. And the process of exception handing is presented.After researching theory systemly, we develop and implement MFlow transaction model. At last we introduce an XML-based product data integration scheme. Our work will do some help for both theory and application research of the Transactional Workflow Management System.
