| Electronic Toll Collection System (ETC) is the most important part ofthe Intelligent Transportation Systems. Now DSRC is used in most of basecommunication of the ETC. We develop the communication basic supportingsystem of ETC using infrared band, this report presents a Study of opticalwireless communications design and Experiment for ETC, including opticalconcentrators and hardware system.According to the characteristic of infrared communication system forETC, this paper designs the wide FOV concentrator used in the WirelessInfrared receiver. The gain and FOV of the concentrator are analyzed and theparameter design principal is brought forward. The actual gain and FOV of theconcentrator can meet the request of the wireless infrared communicationsystem.This paper designs and makes transmitter circuit, including modulatingcircuit, driving circuit and protecting circuit. The width of the transmitter is4.096MHz.The receiver has been designed and made, including preamplifier,amplifier, filter circuit, AGC, PLL, etc. Noise analysis, sensitivity analysisand width analysis have been done.This paper has completed the wireless infrared communication hardwaresystem, taken out the experiment project and test the system performance. Theresult shows, the highest data transmission speed gets to 4.096Mbps, and thesystem works well.At the end of this paper, a brief summary is made to theoretical andexperimental achievements in this paper, and suggestion to some problems infurther study is taken out. |
