Software Design Of Portable Media Player

With the fast development of Digital Television, the portable media player integrated with TV function must be the direction of PMP in the future. In this dissertation, a portable media player which can be used to preview TV program is researched and designed. This system is based on Intel Xscale PXA255 processor. The MPEG-4 video technology and MP3 audio technology are used in the system, and media player, remote control, and embedded browser are designed in which streaming media order program can be supported.In chapter 1, the current research status of portable media player is described. Also the significance of the research work and the research task are given.In chapter 2, a software platform of portable media player and technology information for reference are introduced. The architecture of X platform and real-time streaming media protocols are also discussed in detail.In chapter 3, the design of the PMP solution is discussed including the hardware system solution, the software system solution and the data stream of system.In chapter 4, the software design of PMP is discussed in detail. The software system is divided into five parts, which are the platform construction, the design of player, remote control, embedded browser, and the software optimization of the player.In chapter 8, a description about the software testing is given.In chapter 9, the main research conclusion is summarized. The prospect of further research is also proposed.
