Development Of The Standard Mold Base Library System Based On .NET

With the rapid development of informatization of enterprise, the standard mold base library system based on a personal computer is not able to share enterprise resources and network resources. At the same time,the client software of a standard mold base library system based on C/S pattern have some drawbacks such as long developmental periods,complex graphical interfaces and heavy maintenance though this system realizes design resources sharing .So it is important to aim at a new standard mold base library system based on Web to realize design resources sharing through Internet by using unified Web browser. A conception of a new standard mold base library system based on .NET platform was proposed which combined the strong modeling function of UG with the powerful network developing function of .NET. Then the systematic structure model was described in detail after function requirement analysis. As a new standard mold base library system,the advanced CAD techniques, remote data access techniques and mold design knowledge are all integrated in it. Using data steams exchanging between users and server and an intelligent background CAD system,three types of 3D graphic files(Part type,Parasolid type,STEP type) provided according to the requirements of the users for the applications in different CAD/CAM systems. Furthermore,this system integrate seamlessly with UG system.
