Research And Development Of The Common Multi-media Forestalling-answer System Based On The Resource File Of VB

With the development of computer technology and the progress of the social economy, a system of knowledge forestalling-answer, which is constructed by means of computer system, has become possible. This system has its advantages as follows: firstly, it makes full use of the great capabilities of computer in data handling, data inputting and data outputting. Secondly, it can not only perform some basic functions such as forestalling-answering, but also some advanced functions, like question-showing, mark-displaying, sound-cueing and results-analyzing.On the basis of the exploitation of the Common Multimedia Forestalling-Answer System, this thesis discusses the design of the system, and the main technology employed in the process of designing. Carried out by the researcher, this system has acquired good effect. This system has made full use of existing resources of the computer and that of the network facilities, and employing the method of software-design in place of the hardware-connection, CMFAS has realized the effect of 'low cost, good universality'. Moreover, it has established a good forestalling-answer environment that is full of images, words and sounds.In the process of designing the system, the researcher has taken the following procedures into full consideration such as the ways on maintaining the integrity, the advancement, universality, expansibility of the data, exerting the properties of voice-processing and network-transmitting etc. This research put forward and studied the method of replacing the database with resource files in handling multimedia data. This method has the remarkable characteristics such as 'low memory expense, quick access speed and easy resource-renewing'. Meanwhile, it probes into the Winsock correspondence mechanism and the structure of Client/Server based on TCP/IP. As to the major problems existing in the process of correspondence, the author has proposed his solution in this thesis.The main contents of the research are as follows:1. Applied investigation on VB resource filesThe project investigates how to transform the multimedia data such as words, images and sounds into the resource files so as to store massive data and retrieve these data quickly.2. Exploration on Winsock correspondence mechanismThe project probes into the following questions as how to utilize Winsock controls in connecting with the long-distance computers, and how to solve the corresponding problem of different computers with the use of Winsock control array.3. Discussion on essential technologyIn a large-scale system development, one may encounter many problems on techniques. How to break through these problems has become the most crucial thing. The researcher has solved many problems on the following 8 technologies in developing CMFAS such as rolling of the words, synchronically broadcasting multimedia resources, dynamic demonstrating, saving information momentarily, preserving on the backstage, simulating and transferring the graphic file, multi-computer communicating and forestalling answer client-side programming.
