The development and application of E-business technology in the fields of book distribution brings new opportunities for book distribution in China. While it also impacts the traditional book distribution. Taking the E-business' impact to book distribution channels as a starting point, the dissertation analyzes the change of the roles and the management of channel components (mainly including publishers, wholesalers and retailers).This dissertation composed by the following parts:Introduction briefly introduces the background of the research, literature review, as well as the main content, purpose and methodology of this research.The main part includes four chapters:1. Analysis on the impact of the E-business to the structure of the book distribution channels.The main impact of the E-business is the influence to the structure of the distribution channel. And the change of the distribution channel is the multiplication of the distribution forms, specialization of the previous distribution channels and integration of the traditional book channels.2. Analysis on the impact of the E-business to the process of the book distribution channels.In this chapter, the author firstly described the process and the function of all kinds distribution channels, then took the three most popular processes: flow of goods, flow of information and flow of cash as examples, and deeply analyzed problems and the impact of E-business to the above three flows.3. The changing role the distributors under the E-business environment.This chapter mainly focuses on the strategy of two kinds of book distributors: wholesalers and retailers. The author thinks that traditional wholesalers can extend to retailing and publishing or transform to service go-betweens; while retailers should develop chain operation and super bookstore based on the informatization.4. Strategic reflection on the management of the book distribution channel under the E-business environment.The author strategically analyzed the management of the book distribution channel under the E-business environment, especially on the performance management, conflicts management and service management of the distribution channels.
