Based on the development of dense wavelength division multiplexing, this paper analyzed the application scenarios and standards for plan&design of Wavelength Division Multiplexing Technique, combined with the Shaanxi Telecom the status of trunk transmission network, then designed and realized the second plane DWDM transmission in southern shaanxi.Through the analysis of transmission network technology trends, the paper demonstrated the DWDM technology arise and the necessity of development; Through the research of key technology, lay a theoretical foundation for the further study; through the dissertation of DWDM principles,the main technical standards WDM, classification of DWDM system, DWDM equipment and system components and DWDM key technology and technical issues critical, Provided the theoretical basis for engineering design. The paper describes in detail the engineering practice and the oretical research combination of second plane DWDM transmission in southern shaanxi, including the scale of business requirements and design, design overview, technical solutions and the comparison, indicators of project acceptance and operation of the network effect and so on. Finally, looked ahead the future DWDM technology trends, described the development of all-optical networks, and in the actual network applications.This paper attempted to WDM technology into the details, combined with the review and summary of second plane DWDM transmission in Southern shaanxi, laied the theory and practice basis for the next stept of telecommunications trunk networks construction. Meanwhile, we hoped to provide reference for colleagues, and brought help to fresh engineering and technical personnel.
