The Deviseing And Achieveing Of OLAP System Base On Datawarehouse

Data Warehouse as a new technology has received great attention from enterprises, the development of related technologies also change with each passing day. Data Mining and Online Analytical Processing are two analytical tools used in Data Warehouse <> This project, starting from an Online Transaction Processing System which serves the enterprises of selling cloths, developed and built a cloth marketing Data Market as well as the related Online Analytical Processing System. The final goal is to expand them into the Data Warehouse and analytical system that serve the entire enterprise.This article first analyzes briefly the original Online Transaction Processing Data Base., Most of the operations in the original system are based on bill, operators record transaction through bill. However, as the amount of data increases, the original system exposes many problems in the decision supporting. Such as data structure is not fit for analytical querying, dynamic multi-dimension querying is not provided, and result is not visualized.The aim of this project is to build on the original system a data market for analytical querying. Base on this data market, the on-line analytical system is devised. This system visualizes result through ActiveX skill.This thesis then introduces online analytical data model, including definitions and various algebra operation. The data structure in building model of dimension is also discussed.This thesis divided the on-line analytical system into three structural layers: data reload layer, data warehouse layer and analyses display layer, discussions of these layers are given in the order of bottom-to-top. The datareload layer collects data from the original system according to time range. Data is to store in data warehouse after being washed and pre-calculated. Finally, a data market is formed. The data warehouse layer is to be stored middle result. The thesis introduces the device of table of dimension and table of fact. Also, the manner of data tissue is discussed in this thesis. The analyses display layer provides dynamic multi-dimension querying for sale analyze. According to dimension and measure, analytical engine collects middle result from the data warehouse layer. And finally result is returned after being operated. The thesis introduces the work course of analytical engine, parameter and manner of showing result in detail. According to this article, the system has been developed and completed in B/S structure.Finally, this thesis is summarized, and the development in future is outlook.
